Unattended Installation with JNLP file Association
Hi, I would like to know the behaviour of OWS when being installed in the unattended mode with JNLP file associations. According to the docs in Github here https://github.com/karakun/OpenWebStart/blob/master/documentation/guide/OWSGuide.adoc#unattended-installation it is possible to configure the as...

Re: OWS debug log rights inheritance
It would be easier to solve problems for remote users with activate inheritance.
Right now everytime you have to change rights for the file when working with different users for example a "standard" and a "admin" user.
It is more a change for convenience.

[SOLVED] OWS debug log rights inheritance

The logs are configured to be placed in the usual place ...\user\.config\icedtea-web\log\. Attached are two screenshots showing the configured rights for the logs folder and the log inside...

Problem searching for local JVMs
Hi, i have noticed that on my machine the function searching for local JVMs does not work. I have installed the latest AdoptOpenJDK version(8.265) and and older Oracle JRE. Re: OWS using System Proxy
I have tried it but that does not change the behavior. According to the logs OWS still does not match the IP.
My guess is that OWS does not match with the wildcard IP address.

Re: OWS using System Proxy
I have checked it with disabled automatic selection, but it does not change anything in the behaviour.
I guess it is a problem with OWS not correctly detecting the option to use this proxy for https too.

Re: OWS using System Proxy
Hi,
i guess i just found out the problem myself. In the proxy settings there is a box checked that the system should use the same for all protocols.
Apparently OWS does not understand this settings correctly. In the logs posted before you can see the proxy is only set for http.
Greetings
Paul

OWS using System Proxy
Hello, first thanks for your work on OWS. I have found a problem with OWS using the System Proxy on Windows. In my test an application fails to start. If I understand the logs correctly OWS reads the System Proxy settings correctly. In the settings there is a list of addresses defined as proxy bypas...

Re: Detection of local JVM only finds the Oracle Java
Hi,
with the settings left on standard it gets installed to C:\Program Files\AdoptOpenJDK
At least when I scan with this folder the JVM gets found.
It was tested on Win10 1909x64.

Detection of local JVM only finds the Oracle Java
Hi,
I would like to know how OWS searches and detects the locally installed JVM.
This is due to the problem that an installation of jre-8.0.242.08-hotspot from AdoptOpenJDK never gets found.
But when I define the installation path manually the installation gets found.
