Error when launching application on terminal server

Post by aberiaim »

Hi,

We are getting issue with an application with this error message :

"Fatal : Launch Error : Could not launch JNLP file. The application has not been initialized for more informations execute javaws.browser from the commandline and send a bug report"

If i "initialize" the application from the vendor website it's working but only for me but not for the other user on the terminal sever (Windows server 2012 R2)

Details :

net.sourceforge.jnlp.LaunchException: Fatal: Launch Error: Could not launch JNLP file. The application has not been initialized, for more information execute javaws/browser from the command line and send a bug report.

The error reports a missing library from HP.
This is a library used by the application itself not OWS.

Is the library included in the JNLP or is it expected to be pre-installed on the machine?

Hi,

We have to install the applet from the vendor website so the library is installed on the machine accesible by all users.

if i want to make it work for other user i have to update that application and library for every user.

Can you please explain what do you mean by "initialize app from vendor website"?

Do you have the Jnlp file? Does it mention the missing missing library/jar from HP in its resources?

If not, is it assumed that this lib is present on the JRE's path on the client machine where this Jnlp is started? If this is the case then you could include the missing jar in the jnlp file and it will be downloaded and made available on the client machine by OWS.
