The article
https://openwebstart.com/docs/OWSGuide. ... _jnlp_file
describes the integration of a new vendor as follows:
You can use one of the following vendor names/alias as value for the vendor attribute:
"*"
"AdoptOpenJDK", "Adopt"
"Amazon.com Inc.", "Amazon Inc.", "Amazon"
"Azul Systems, Inc.", "Azul"
"BellSoft"
"Eclipse Adoptium", "Adoptium"
"Oracle Corporation", "Oracle"
We want to use IBM Semeru with OpenWebStart. IBM Semeru is not in the vendor list.
So we have to enter "*". Does this ensure that OpenWebStart works just as well with IBM Semeru as if you select an available vendor, such as Eclipse Adoptium, from the list?
Or should one expect technical limitations because IBM Semeru is not included in the list of vendors?
