Help with errors upon trying to use JNLP files

Post by NRFC »

Hi there,

I need some help with errors upon trying to use a website that utilizes JNLP files.

The site itself is very old and requires Java v8 (Quebec Land Registry site) but we want to circumvent this as Java is so expensive commercially, by using OpenWebStart ideally.

Can someone make sense of any of these errors?

Any advice appreciated.

Thank you!

Your error occurs because javax.xml.ws (JAX‑WS) classes like HandlerResolver were removed from the JDK starting with Java 11. As can be seen in the screenshot OWS is downloading Java 21 to run your application. You need to configure OWS to use Java to run your application: https://openwebstart.com/docs/OWSGuide. ... management.
